  • I am researching this school and have visited the campus

There are many activities and places to go near this college to have fun. One place I highly recommend for a good bite is Ripple Bagel and Deli. Ripple's bagels are fantastic, and great if you're in need a good place for takeout.

There's Greek life and opportunities to go to parties around campus. Campus will also plan fun events to go to. Campus is also very close to downtown and it is very easy to get to.

Check out all the free things that are going on around campus! SGA (student government) is really good about putting on fun late night events (especially during the first 6 weeks of school). Butler also brings speakers and bands to campus, which students can go see for free. Go to the sporting events, especially Butler basketball games! They're really fun, and students get into all sporting events for free. If you want to go off campus, Broad Ripple has lots to do as well.

There are so many things to do. On the weekends, you can take the shuttle to Broad Ripple and eat/shop or see a movie at Glendale. Once a month, you can take the shuttle downtown to the mall. There are also fun school events all the time. Last semester we had black light bingo, and there were serious prizes like TVs. There are also parties each weekend if you are into that sort of thing.

Butler has really surprised me with all of the events it hosts on campus! There's something to do every weekend. We have organizations that plan an array of events that all come free to students. From concerts, to movies, to scavenger hunts, to massages/finals therapy, there's always something going on on campus. Don't forget, we're also located a hop skip and a jump from downtown Indy as well as Broad Ripple. So if whatever's on campus doesn't strike your fancy, there's always the city!

Many students attend events at the Greek housing on campus. Others choose to walk the short distance to Broad Ripple, a local arts district. If you don't want to leave campus there is plenty to do. There is a free movie every Friday and Saturday on campus and students get into sporting events for free. Clowes Hall often has guest speakers and recitals from the Jordan College of the Arts.

Butler is about 5 minutes away from Broad Ripple which is basically a long street full of bars, clubs, boutiques, and restaurants. Students and locals frequent the area and it always proves to be an entertaining time. Butler is also about 10 minutes from downtown Indianapolis which has the Circle Center Mall and different sport arenas including the Colts. Again in downtown there are clubs, bars, and a wide variety of restaurants and shops. We are also close to the Indiana state fair grounds which hosts the state fair and many different concerts and shows. On campus there is Clowes Hall which has Broadway plays, musicals, concerts, and guests speakers year round.
