Get a good pair of rain boots as when it rains, campus will flood. Wait till the first day of classes to buy your books or if your professor emails you before directly, as they may decide to not use some books even when they are only the syllabus. You also don't have to buy them from the bookstore, they may be cheaper on Amazon and the bookstore will price match new books from Amazon if you find it cheaper there.
