As a small private school, Bucknell pays attention to their students. I have never had a hard time talking or staying after with professors. They truly care that you learn the material and know your name. Taking on average five courses a semester, unlike high school where you glide over eight of nine courses, the smaller course load allows you to dig deeper into subjects and truly appreciate what you're learning.

Bucknell has a beautiful campus which makes it fun to walk around even during horrible weather. There still needs to be some work done in terms of diversity of the student body represented on campus. The weight that greek life holds on the social scene is pretty large, however it's possible to still be in the social scene without being in a sorority.
Read MoreBucknell University is located in a very isolated area of Pennsylvania, three hours from Philadelphia. So far, as a first semester freshman, I have 4 teachers; 2 are prepared and professional; 1 has poor communications, is very contradictory, and moody; 1 does nothing--literally sits in a chair misinterpreting famous works of literature. I am shocked because I have only read good things about the teachers here. I quickly learned there is a lot of dropping and adding courses at the start of each term when the teacher is famously bad. Overall, the school is a huge disappointment for me. I do not drink so I am alone in my room most of the time and go home frequently. I study often and keep up with the large amount of readings I am assigned so I have good grades. The moody teacher is the only one who short changes me. She does not give A's. I have A's in the rest.
Read MoreA school located in a small town where students have a work hard, play hard mentality. There isn't much to do outside of campus, so things can become monotonous after a while. Besides that, the professors range from great to plain crazy.
Read MoreBucknell is an ideal school for students who want to work hard and play hard.
Read MoreAn outstanding institution. Very challenging courses and the professors care about your future. Beautiful campus.
Read MoreBucknell is aesthetically pleasing yet a little isolated. It is located in small town America, better known as the middle of nowhere. However Bucknell's academics are great and the campus is very accomodating.
Read MoreBucknell is a great place to challenge yourself academically in any field you so choose. Professors are dedicated to their students and are open to questions and very flexible with office hours. There is plenty to get involved with on campus such as intramural sports club or varsity along with a myriad of clubs and organizations.
