A lot of people go to Black Hills State University for their teaching degree, but they have more to offer. I was originally going for my Associates in General Studies, but if I would have stayed with BH, I would have gone for my Bachelor's in History. I hear that they have a good History program.

BHSU isn't the cheapest, but it's definitely not the costliest either. Even compared to other colleges in state. I would recommend the university to someone who would like a degree and not end up in a hundred or more in debt. The best way to reap the benefits of the school is to live off campus though, since housing and the meal plan can eat up most of your financial aid. Great place for out of state students.

It is one of the cheapest state schools in the are, possibly one of the cheapest state schools in the nation. You get what you pay for. I turned in an essay I wrote in the 6th grade for a composition I class and got an A on it. The instructors seem to know what they are talking about, but the grading system is very lax.
