Bethel is really nice, don't get me wrong. But be aware that it's incredibly religious and most all of your classes will include Christian discussion. Intro classes to the Bible and Christianity are required to graduate. If you prefer a more secular religion, Bethel probably isn't the right place for you. Along with that, it is definitely more on the conservative side. My political science class was over 50% republican, siding with Trump when we took a poll.

He/she would get the full experience of what it would be like to attend Bethel so they know what they are getting into. I would highly recommend coming on a Sunday night so they can attend Vespers. Vespers is our weekly hour long worship service; the first time I went, I was blown away, I had never seen a community come together like that before.

Also, getting involved in sports, clubs, or co-ed activities is a great way to get to know people right away. Be an extrovert and get to know people right away.
