Student Responses to Review Topic: Food And Dining

Belmont is a wonderful school, I am a motion pictures major and the staff and equipment are top notch-internships are available to anyone willing to apply themselves. But the food in the caf is only, and I mean ONLY, good on preview days. Do not get your hopes up, because although they are trying to make it better, finding mysterious objects in the food is commonplace. The on campus restaurants like Chick-fil-A and McCalister's Deli are great, however, and I highly recommend them, as I still recommend Belmont.

The food choices at Belmont are widespread, even with a meal plan. Belmont offers X number of meals per week in the cafeteria, plus "declining points" which are dollars that can be spent at Belmont's other dining facilities, such as a Starbucks, a Chick-fil-a, Sandella's Flatbread Cafe, Boar's Head, McAllister's Cafe, and other restaurants. The cafeteria food is good and there is a wide variety of meal options at peak dining hours of the day. There are breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for everyone, including vegan/vegetarian students.

We just got a new cafeteria and it's beautiful. However, the food is average and the cafeteria closes early. There are other places on campus to get food later, though, and that's a nice compromise. These places include a Starbucks, Sandella, Chick-fil-a, McCalister's, a small grocery, and a smoothie place.

The new dining hall is great! Brand new, just built for the incoming class of 2019. It's located in the Mike Curb College for Entertainment & Music Business, but the food's great AND the staff members are so incredibly helpful and friendly.

Belmont closes all of its dining options pretty early, especially on weekends. The caf was definitely not one of my favorite parts, but I know it could have been much worse. The International line at the caf was the best part about it, as well as the ice cream.

Student Responses to Review Topic: Greek Life

Greek life is present on campus and growing. There are 5 sororities and 4 fraternities currently I believe. Greek life at Belmont is much different from other universities. There are no houses and being part of Greek life does not become someone's whole identity. It's rather a detail about someone in addition to other aspects of their personality. It's also not rare for non-Greek life and Greek life people to be best friends. They aren't exclusive.

Greek life isn't the best. There's only 4 sororities and 2 fraternities. Greek life isn't big and most people don't rush. I wouldn't come to Belmont for the Greek life.

Greek life may seem dull due to there only being about 5 frats and sororities on campus. However I hear they're a lot of fun.

There are just a few fraternities and sororities on campus. None have houses and campus. Greek culture is not as prevalent here as it is at many other schools.

Greek life isn't like the typical Greek life at other Universities, they don't have houses or pledging. They are groups centered around volunteering and helping others in the community.

I'm not a member of a frat because of Pembroke basically being a frat. But they don't have their own houses, so I would imagine its not great.
