Visit the Student Success Center and sign up for a tutor right away if you think you might need one, and sign up to BE a tutor if you can help others. Many students who attend Bay are eligible for the TRIO program. Definitely join if you qualify for an open spot. If you are planning on transferring, have a list of possible schools before you sign up for your first semester. Keep in mind that only certain credits transfer. Great place to save a couple thousand bucks on just your core classes such as English and Math. It's smaller so your chance for work study or scholarships of the sort are much higher than that of a University. Always be prepared to verify you FASFA or other financial aid they do take a very long time to help you out there. And take the COMPASS test it's like the ACT but untimed and will give you a definite idea of where you are academically.
