    Don't worry too much about financial aid: the Financial Aid Office is willing to work with you as much as possible. And learn to let things go: there are times when you'll miss an important meeting or mess up on a presentation, but you can't let those things bother you too much. Just jot it down as a lesson and keep moving.

    right from the start, get involved. go to social activities, join some clubs, and put yourself out there. i didn't do this immediately, and socially i suffered a little bit. remember that bw is a division iii school, and even then, everything is focused around the conservatory music school (and the theater program). there are phenomenal plays, musicals, and so forth that a lot of other schools may not have.

    To be a successful student, utilize time management effectively to avoid missing any assignments and to provide yourself opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. There is a wonderful computer lab available 24 x 7 so if you are an out-of-state student, you do not have to pack extra weight with a computer and printer. Stay in contact with your advisor so you stay on track for graduation.
