Personally, I believe the biggest negative about Avila would be the parking. It is really really really bad. I live on campus and it is so difficult to find a parking space. I know many students who come into class late because there was no parking available. As of this coming year, Avila is charging all students and extra $800 a year in extra fees when paying ones tuition so every student can pick up every book they need right from the bookstore, new or used. I think this is very unfair since I rented all of my books from Chegg for only $185 this semester... not $400 as Avila would be charging me for. The internet is not that great. The professors at this University are incredible. Every one of them is willing to help their students one on one when the need help. All of the professors I've had try hard to learn everyones name at the beginning of the semester, they truly are amazing. Our library is newly renovated as well. It is so incredible with many different size study rooms, TVs on the walls everywhere that hook up to your computer, and new apple desktops for students to use. We have a really great free tutoring center and an amazing writing center in the library.
