Talk with the staff. They are there to help you and from what I saw they are passionate and willing to help in any way they can.

Find your classes ahead of time so you don't get lost. Use the tutors, please! No seriously, they're there to help you. They don't bite. (Trust me; I was one. We get bored when you guys don't visit us. So come say hi). Go to class. Don't slack off or procrastinate, especially in online classes. Talk to your professors. They're not as scary as they look. Join a club or two. Try out for a play or join swing dancing. You'll make more friends that way.
