There are numerous beaches nearby as well as places to shop and play. Just take a look at the agenda put out by the school. Remember again, this is a christian school so don't look for wild parties or inappropriate activities. There are many opportunites for mission trips and study tours, just check them out on Andrews website.
Read MoreChicago is only an hour and a half away. Great for weekend getaways and birthday parties. The beach is pretty close. It is beautiful in the spring and summertime. There are a few places to go bowling and skating in the area. There is also a movie theatre in Benton Harbor and in Niles.
Read MoreThere isn't a whole lot to do in Berrien Springs, but the students of AU like to go to Silver Beach in St. Joseph, MI over the weekends. There's also a delicious homestyle restaurant named Nikki's that the locals enjoy.

Climb a tree -- the scenery is beautiful! Take a walk by the creek. Visit the dairy farm. Hang out in the student center. Play sports. Go to the concerts.
Read MoreTake extracurricular classes. Join GROW groups. Join a club. Within a three hour drive of Chicago. Lots of state parks nearby. The campus is situated in the country, so don't expect there to be a shopping mall right next door, but within thirty minutes you can get to a larger city.

There is also a student lounge with tv, pool tables, video games, and just a place to hang out with friends. The gazebo is a good place to hang out too. There is not a lot of stuff in town though.
