    Join clubs! It's hard to make new friends sometimes and joining clubs is the easiest thing to do in order to make friends. Don't be afraid to try new things! Don't let people get to you; there are a lot of people that want to bring you down, but avoid them and focus on you. College is about growing as a person, so what everyone else thinks doesn't matter, as long as you're happy with what you're doing. Make time for homework! Professors will not baby you; there are professors who are nice and can be lenient, but they will not tell you to study and can easily throw you under the bus if you don't keep up with the work load.
