Create an account now!There is so much outdoorsy activities to do while in Alamosa. That includes hiking, camping at the Sand Dunes, and cliff jumping at Zapata Falls.There isn't much night life though. On the weekends, the local bar and club try to make it student friendly and fun. In the winter there is a skating rink that is free if you have your own skates and only $1 for a rental.
Read MoreAlamosa is a little town, so there are things to do, but most of the time you need to make your own fun! Which is okay too!! Dining downtown, a movie theater and outdoor activities are some of the favorites around town. But on campus you can usually find excitement going on.

Read MoreIt's a small town, if you want to press your luck, you can go explore The Devil's Playground, but if you want to be outdoors, the Sand Dunes or Wolf Creek is your best bet. There's always people to go skating with. There's also a hookah bar, and plenty of teams and clubs to keep busy though.

Read MoreLike I said, the sports, drama, and music departments are always active. The school has activities going on now and then. The art department puts on shows. It's all very basic, of course. Find some friends and then spend time with them, that's your best bet.
Read MoreAbsolutely nothing. If you play a sport, that's the best thing to do. If you like nature then you're set, but it gets old quick. I [played basketball so I was set but if you're from a big city then you're coming to the wrong school. The town sucks, and so does the activities on campus.
