Program Description

Our programs provide under served students continuous opportunity and access to the tools and strategies that are crucial to a successful post-secondary academic career.

Objective: Create a direct pipeline to counselors, admissions, colleges and careers.

Key Goals:

  • Students realize their academic and career goals
  • Students identify and apply to 10 colleges that meet their objectives with a financial plan
  • Students meet college admissions deadlines
  • Analyzing student transcripts and high school's 4 year academic plans to ensure they meet the college of their choice admission requirements
  • Make sure students have the proper affiliations for college activities
  • Ensure students write a compelling and purposeful essay
  • Students have access to all scholarships opportunities
  • Students graduate college in four years and have the ability to pursue Master's and Doctoral Programs
  • Offer assistance to students adapting in the secondary education environment and develop a clear path to graduation
  • To graduate with no or minimal college debt
  • Students are ready for their careers, having some experience working in their field of choice
  • Students become producers not consumers

The William H. Douglas Foundation's focus is on the individual student and student-athlete when developing personalized, goal oriented tools, resources and strategies that enable them to successfully complete their post-secondary goals within a four period.

With our University partners we develop rigorous enrichment programs designed to assist students matriculate through the post-secondary educational system. WHD speaks to underrepresented students that currently are not being helped or serviced in the traditional manner. We provide Programs, Workshops, College Tours, Monthly Newsletters and even housing whenever possible. Our services are customized to each student's needs.

Our ultimate goal is to match each student with their perfect College, University or Vocational Institution which will enable them to graduate and move on to Master's and Doctoral programs.
