Program Description

The Urban League of Springfield, Inc., serves the African American Community in Greater Springfield by advocating for and providing model services that enhance the academic and social development of young people and families, promoting economic self-sufficiency, and fostering racial inclusion and social justice.

Urban League of Springfield in collaboration with the National Urban League, facilitate a program for youth that engages students in workshop style activities for post-secondary success. The program is entitled Project Ready: Post-secondary Success. The program covers topics around life skills, study skills, peer pressure, college preparation, community service learning and STEM Career awareness.

Urban League of Springfield will engage students in activities and workshops that will help students plan for success and life after high school.
