Program Description

Upward Bound is a pre-college academic program located on the campus of Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, TN. TWUB serves low-income high school students from surrounding counties who come from families where neither parent holds a bachelor's degree.

The program can serve up to 65 ninth through twelfth grade students in Loudon, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk County schools. The grant awarded for 2018-2019 is $312,007. Upward Bound provides opportunities for participants to succeed in precollege performance and ultimately in higher education pursuits.
