Academic Enrichment Upward Bound (AEUB) is a TRiO program designed to help students achieve the goal of attaining a college degree. AEUB is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. AEUB is administered through the CAPS Outreach Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. We serve students at 5 Knoxville-area high schools who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher; are committed to enroll in college right after high school graduation; and who are either: 1) a potential first-generation college student, or 2) come from a low-income family. All services and activities are provided at no cost to participants and their families. AEUB provides college information and application assistance; financial aid information and assistance with FAFSA; tutoring in all subjects; Saturday sessions once a month on the UTK campus; college tours; 6-week summer session on UTK campus; overnight summer cultural enrichment trip; monthly stipends based on level of involvement.85
