Program Description

Trinity River Mission is a volunteer-based community learning center that promotes literacy, encourages academic success and develops effective life skills among disadvantaged youth in West Dallas, in the belief that education connects us to life's possibilities. Trinity River Mission offers educational programs to help build the foundation necessary to support and encourage high school graduation and post-secondary studies. 508 students were served the year 2013-2014.

Success Stories

Rosaerlinda Cisneros is about to embark on her senior year at Texas A&M University, as she prepares to graduate in May 2014 with a degree in Environmental Geosciences and minor in Atmospheric Sciences. Rosa has received her iconic Aggie ring, a true symbol of Rosa's great academic achievements throughout the years from the university she has dreamed of attending since she was a little girl. But it wasn't always an easy road for Rosaerlinda; and her story could have been a great deal different -- if it hadn't been for TRM.
