Program Description

The Door's mission is to empower young people to reach their potential by providing comprehensive youth development services in a diverse and caring environment.

College Paths is a comprehensive program that provides one-on-one support to help you prepare for a future at a college, vocational training program, or non-traditional secondary education program. Because you work with an individual college counselor, we can make a plan based on any background and help you follow through to success.

Joining College Paths can help you complete high school or get your HSE; re-enroll in high school if you have dropped out; figure out your graduation plans; determine which school is right for you by arranging trips to colleges or visits from representatives; prepare you for SATs, ACTs, Regents, and other standardized exams; find scholarships and get financial aid; prepare for life in college, including success tips for when you arrive; and more. We can also connect you to other programs at The Door to fulfill your non-academic needs, like health care, counseling, legal support and more.

Rising 12th graders can apply to our Senior Success Camp summer college readiness program in March.
