Southern Methodist University College Access Programs is an institution of higher learning with a long tradition of assisting families and find the right college and career path. Our department encompasses three Federal grant programs; Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math-Science, and Educational Talent Search. Our staff and faculty are dedicated to helping low-income and/or first-generation college students succeed in today's global market. We adapt our curriculum and seminars to meet the needs of our diverse students, taking into account the many ways in which students learn.
We envision young leaders of high moral character obtaining a degree from an institution of higher education and becoming a successful leader in society. Our mission is to ensure that each student is provided with a quality opportunity in education and develop the character and leadership skills that will prepare each student to succeed in high school and college.
