Program Description

Our Program SEO Scholars transforms public high school students into confident college graduates. Our free, eight-year program successfully educates and mentors underserved public high school students to and through college with a 90% college graduation rate. SEO Scholars creates a more equitable society by closing the academic and opportunity gap for motivated young people, setting the standard for academics, mentorship, community, positive peer pressure, and a powerful, lifelong network. The program, both in San Francisco and New York, offers a comprehensive road map to competitive college admissions and career success. We provide academic preparation, guidance, mentoring, and enriching life experiences that prepare students to take leadership roles in all areas of their lives. In high school, we offer intensive year-round academic preparation via a carefully-calibrated, rigorously-assessed course of supplemental education which adds the equivalent of 2.5+ years of instruction in English and 1.5+ years of instruction in Math. Classes are held on Saturdays, after school and during the summers. In college, we continue to support students through each of their four years, ensuring that they graduate. Direct ongoing counseling provides one-on-one guidance on adjusting to college life, building academic success skills, exploring career options and securing internships.
