Saint Martin de Porres Academy

Program Description

Saint Martin de Porres Academy's holistic approach to education emphasizes experiential learning, spiritual grounding and rigorous academics. This approach cultivates character and integrity and equips students with the skills they need to succeed and to become agents of change in their communities. We provide tuition-free, extended day education for children from low-income families in the New Haven area of Connecticut. Our Graduate Support Program is the vehicle through which we continue our 12-year commitment to mentor and to academically and financially support our students throughout their high school and college years. Presently, 123 of our graduates are navigating their academic journey through high school and college with the support and guidance of Graduate Support personnel. GSP staff also work with our seventh and eighth graders who are preparing for the high school admission process. A total of 162 students are currently served and supported by GSP over their 12-year academic journey.
