Program Description

Center for Talent Development's (CTD) signature approach to talent development provides multiple pathways, which guide students and families through the journey of intellectual, emotional and social growth. In serving more than 500,000 families throughout the last three decades, CTD has evolved from a single focus on talent development to a multi-faceted operation with a focus on four main goals: talent identification, talent development, research and advocacy.

Project EXCITE serves low income, gifted urban students from grade 3 and all the way through high school. Students are identified at a young age so that they can enter and be successful in traditional advanced coursework available in their schools. The program is structured to engender excitement and motivation for learning through activities that are hands-on, discovery-based, problem oriented, and creativity generating.
