Minds Matter Seattle

Program Description

Minds Matter Seattle provides mentoring to talented, low-income high school students in the Seattle area with the goal of increasing college readiness and broadening their dreams for success beyond high school. We do so by providing our students with test prep resources, writing and critical thinking seminars, math tutoring and intensive mentoring to help them choose summer programs and colleges that will help them succeed. Nationally, Minds Matter has a 100% acceptance of students into 4-year colleges; we are looking forward to sending our first class of seniors to college next year.

Success Stories

Minds Matter provides our students the opportunity to attend summer programs around the country and locally. This year, we are really excited that our students have been accepted to programs at Brown University, George Washington University, Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, and University of Michigan.

Students have also been accepted to nationally recognized programs such as Girls Who Code, NSLC at American University and UW Medicine, LEDA at Princeton University, SummerStudy at Fordham University, and locally acclaimed programs such as University of Washingtons Dawgbytes and Multicare Health Systems Nurse Camp.
