Located in the Southwestern Chicago neighborhood of Archer Heights, UNO Garcia High School is the first high school within the UNO Charter School Network (UCSN). Just recently, two new high schools became a part of UCSN. As the first high school of the network, we strive to set a high standard for success through rigorous, critical study that helps our students become self-disciplined, articulate, entrepreneurial, worldly, and life-long learners. In addition to the challenging academics, our strategic partnership between teacher, parent, and student has yielded a remarkable attendance rate of 96.3%. Our total student body of approximately 600 students gained admission through a lottery system that boasts representation from the surrounding community with 98% of our students identifying as Latino. Many of our students are first-generation citizens and first generation to college students. An estimated 96% of students are low income and receive free or reduced lunch.
