KIPP Nashville is a network of college preparatory public schools modeled after the nationally acclaimed KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) school model known for its high expectations and focus on academic results. The mission of KIPP Nashville is to cultivate in its students the character and academic skills needed to succeed in rigorous high schools and colleges and to become productive citizens in the world beyond. KIPP Nashville is currently comprised of a middle school that serves 350 educationally underserved students in grades five through eight, who are accepted regardless of their prior academic record. The KIPP Through College team is the branch of KIPP Nashville that supports KIPP Nashville alumni on their mission to be successful to and through college. The KIPP Through College team currently works with 5 grades (9th grade through first year of college) while serving approximately 240 students. . The mission of KTC is to provide support and to cultivate in our alumni and their families the essential knowledge and character traits necessary for success in high school, college, and life beyond.
