Program Description

iMentor matches every student in our high schools with a committed college-educated mentor, equipped to guide that young person on their journey to college graduation.

Our model harnesses the power of long-term, personal relationships to help students succeed. We partner with high schools in low-income communities, where a majority of students served will be first-generation college graduates. Each year, we recruit thousands of volunteers who commit to mentor a high school student for at least three years.

Success Stories

After Elianny moved with her mother to the United States from the Dominican Republic, iMentor matched her with mentor Sarah at Elianny¢??s New York City high school, Manhattan Bridges. With Sarah¢??s guidance, Elianny has overcome many challenges ¢?? including homelessness at one point ¢?? to graduate at the top of her class and matriculate at Stony Brook University
