Greater Boston Chinese Community Service

Program Description

Greater Boston Chinese Community Service is a faith based organization which also provides academic assistance and college preparation counseling services to students from 1st through 12th grade. During the week, our two major academic programs, Uplift (1st through 5th grade academic assistance) and Xaris (11th through 12th grade college preparation) meet regularly each afternoon. The organization also has a volunteer program which serves students from 9th through 12th grade. During the weekends, faith development programs provide Christian teaching to students who are interested. GBCCS hopes to combine academics with sincere faith to support and enrich each student.

The majority of our students are of Asian decent who are recent immigrants to the United States. All of our students live in the south shore.
