Program Description

Boys & Girls Clubs provide a place where all youth, no matter their circumstances, can make great discoveries about themselves and engage in educational and recreational activities. And it's all done in safe environments and led by positive role models and leaders.

In 2015, Boys & Girls Clubs adopted this program from the YMCA. The program provides individualized attention and scholarship support that will help students successfully graduate from college. In addition, the Clubs' Graduation Plus prepares teens for their futures. Milwaukee's landscape often presents youth with a steep uphill climb to graduate from high school and obtain any type of post-secondary education. Through Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee's Grad Plus programming, we aim to provide support and mentorship to help our members obtain college access, and continue life-long learning. Annually, Grad Plus serves over 400 high school students and over 300 college students. Our case management approach allows staff to build meaningful relationships with Club members to ensure they receive the individualized support they need.
