Established in 1995, George Gervin Academy is a free public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Our students meet or exceed state target scores for student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and postsecondary readiness.
To provide innovatively designed comprehensive services that are holistic in nature as well as culturally sensitive, to impact the lives of troubled youth and their families, particularly those youth facing special concerns. The primary focus of our programs is to assess and meet the needs of the whole person, specifically recognizing the needs of at-risk youth in resolving critical issues surrounding family relationships, school achievement, social attitude, employment, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, drug trafficking, teen suicide, school/neighborhood and gang violence, self-esteem, and homelessness.
