In its 7th year at Priest River Lamanna High School, GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is designed to significantly increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post secondary education.
GEAR UP encourages students to take challenging course work to prepare for post secondary education while also providing information regarding financial aid for any post-secondary education including one and two year technical programs, two year Associate Degree programs and four year Baccalaureate Programs. The program also offers opportunities for campus exploration field trips to students, so they can see and experience what a college campus looks and feels like.
