Program Description

The mission of the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund is to give high school tuition assistance and educational support to Chicago students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. DMSF seeks to make a life-altering difference in the lives of its scholars by providing them with the best opportunity to succeed in high school and college.

Application to Daniel Murphy is made in the eighth grade year. We have an extensive application and interview process.

Scholars are chosen on leadership and potential.

Programing includes:

  • Pre high school language program called LEAP and Ideal Student Workshop.
  • Scholars are assigned mentors.
  • Extensive College Counseling starting freshmen year.
  • Tutoring
