Program Description

The College Success Alumni Network (CSAN) is a special initiative of the Catholic Education Foundation(CEF) to assist CEF participants. It was launched fall 2013 to assist First Generation College students succeed in their freshman year of college by providing one-to-one and monthly group workshops and mentorship opportunities focusing on various areas of the students first-year experience. In fall 2014 CSAN expanded to assisting CEF high school juniors & senior participants in preparing, applying and transitioning into college. The program assists students with college applications, personal statements, financial aid and much more with monthly workshops, college fairs and networking opportunities.

Success Stories

"This is my second year in CSAN and I love it. I really appreciate all the resources that are available to me. It has helped me have a smooth run at college life and I really am thankful for it. CSAN has connected me with someone from my college, who has experienced this in the past and can help me with my goals. It has been a blessing to me." - Second Year student "I joined CSAN because it provided me with an opportunity to be mentored by knowledgeable people who have helped me set my goals. Not only in my education but also in my life. Such as setting a goal to get a job, now I both work and go to school. And I am very grateful for that". - First Year Student
