Program Description

College Advising Corps Boston supports first generation, low-income, underrepresented Boston students to realize their dreams for college. College Advising Corps Boston launched in the 2013-2014 academic year with support from the Boston-based GreenLight Fund's Social Innovation Fund initiative. We recruit, hire, and intensively train recent Boston-area college graduates to serve as college advisers in high-need Boston Public Schools high schools. In 2014-2015, 16 advisers served 15 Boston Public high schools and KIPP Lynn. For 2015-2016, College Advising Corps announced a new partnership with Boston University and expanded to 23 advisers serving in 24 schools in the Boston area.
