Program Description

Circle Urban Ministries' College Readiness program exists to inspire and equip scholars in 7th-12th grades for post-secondary success with a promising vision for their futures. Through enrichment workshops, homework assistance, Bible study discussions, and college and career exposure trips and research, we aim to equip each participating student for success. Our approach is three-fold: 1) Inspire students to adopt researched college and career aspirations, 2) Provide academic assistance to ensure that each student is making appropriate progress toward post-secondary preparedness, and 3) Provide practical assistance to students and their parents in the high school and college selection, application and enrollment process.

The majority of our participants are from Chicago's Austin neighborhood and will be first generation college students.
