CYC empowers vulnerable children and young adults to overcome obstacles and succeed in education, career, and life.
Thirty years ago, as Cincinnati was facing exceedingly high dropout rates, concerned community and school leaders pioneered the idea of collaboration between the business community and public schools. They created a game-changing model for intervention and founded Cincinnati Youth Collaborative.
CYC has created a pathway to success for 130,000 disadvantaged students in our community. CYC is uniquely:
- the first local organization to actively engage the business community in the advocacy and support of vulnerable youth
- the longest-standing provider sanctioned to work with Cincinnati Public Schools at district and school levels with access to school academic data
- a strong collaborator with United Way of Greater Cincinnati, City of Cincinnati, Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board and the Strive Partnership
- united with Jobs for Cincinnati Graduates, CYC now offers capacity for growth and improvement in programs, organizational structure and fiscal efficiency - resulting in better outcomes for kids
