C2 Pipeline is a 21st Century Community Learning Center funded program through the Michigan Department of Education. C2 Pipeline operates in fifteen Metro Detroit area schools with the goal of college and career readiness. In order to achieve that goal, the staff of C2 Pipeline use hands-on, project-based learning activities in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M.) to engage students. An emphasis is placed on careers in S.T.E.M and health care fields. C2 Pipeline has several collaborating partners in the Metro Detroit area that are helping accomplish these goals.
The program is designed to work with schools that serve a high concentration of low-income students. Priority for invitation into this project is given to those schools which are considered low preforming (based on criteria set by the Michigan Department of Education). Students served are in 9th - 12th grade. C2 Pipeline's focus is on increasing graduation rates, improving academics and helping to ensure students are college/career ready.
