Brooklyn College Talent Search

Program Description

The goal of TRiO Educational Talent Search is to increase the number of youths from disadvantaged backgrounds who complete high school and enroll in and complete their postsecondary education. Students receive academic, career and financial counseling; assistance with completing the college application process; and encouragement to graduate from high school and continue on to, and complete, their college education.

The Brooklyn College Educational Talent Search Program (BCETSP) is a Federal TRIO Program, grant funded to provide free college prepartation and financial literacy information to low income and potential first-generation college students. Our participants are primarily from 13 partner high schools or students in the Brooklyn borough.

Our mission statement is to inform, equip and support the self-actualization of our students' academic potential.
