Program Description

Think to the Future Initiative is the Black United Fund of Oregon's community-driven education program designed to support at-risk students on the path to higher education. Think to the Future Initiative incorporates our ACCESS Scholarship, Scholarship Writing Workshops, annual College Fair, and Mentor 4 Success Program. We work with local high schools, youth programs, and nonprofit organizations to refer high school juniors and seniors who are African, African-American, low-income, under-served, first generation college students, minorities, and/or foster youth who reside in Oregon or SW Washington to our programs. Our goal is to establish a solid support system for students in order to make their dreams of college attainment and career success a reality.
