Program Description

The BEI (Boule Education Initiative) empowers African American young men through education and leadership. The program provides mentorship, academic support, life skills and leadership training. Participants are accepted their junior year of high school and complete the program at the end of their senior year. The goal of the BEI is to increase the number of African American males in San Diego County who apply to and are accepted into post--secondary institutions. The young men will not only be prepared to succeed academically, but they will be fully equipped to become leaders in the global community. The scholars will also be able to apply for scholarship assistance from the BEI in additional to learning where and how to access scholarships.
